This is an attempt to capture the auditorium, its ambience from the rear end of the hall.
This was when Ms Shashwati Sen was performing. She has been a disciple of Sri Birju Maharaj jee for 40 years.
It overwhelmed me when she spoke with reverence about her Guruji. The devotion and courteousness towards her Guruji was pure.
Perhaps one must be blessed to even witness such devotion, ...because I felt belessed being there that day, that moment.

I was blessed to be able to to attend an annual musical evening. The pleasure was in being privileged to hear Sri. Sanjeev Abhyankar a young singer of Hindustani vocal music and the tru blessing was to wistness the performence of Sri Birju maharaj jee, 72 year old living legend performer of Kathak.
Kathak is a style of classical dance and Hindustani is a style of classical music both vocal and instrumental in India both a history of over 2000 years. They have had patronage under different dynasties that ruled when these performing arts grew
